You will cook high-quality dishes in several dining styles. You will be part of an experienced culinary team. Together you keep food quality, consistency and presentation strong, and you help the kitchen run well each day.

If your cookery papers are in Indonesian, plan to get them translated into English when the visa rules require it.
Key Responsibilities
- Cook and prepare high-quality dishes that follow set recipes and standards
- Keep food quality, presentation and portion sizes consistent, and check quality to cut down waste
- Help with daily kitchen tasks, food prep, and menu prep including seasonal menu changes
- Stay quick and meet deadlines when service gets busy
- Help with catering, functions and special events when needed
- Rotate stock and help manage inventory
- Follow food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards, and workplace health and safety procedures, at all times
- Keep the work area clean, tidy and safe
- Work well with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years working in a commercial kitchen
- Level 4 Cookery qualification, or an equivalent
- Past experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role
- Experience in a hotel, function or high-volume kitchen is advantageous, and à la carte, fusion or Asian cuisine experience is an advantage
- A real passion for making high-quality food
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Able to handle pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
- A positive attitude and flexibility to work different shifts
- A good grasp of food safety and hygiene practices
- Willing to relocate to Southland, New Zealand
