Chef

Hospitality · Canberra ACT, Australia · Full-Time · $80,000/yr

Thinking about a chef career overseas? Make the move with confidence. A verified Australian hospitality employer has genuine jobs for experienced Chefs at an established group in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).

The group looks for the right person, not a rigid job title. Experienced Chefs ready to step up may fit, including strong Chef de Partie candidates and Sous Chefs who want a stable, long-term career.

You could cook in restaurant service, busy pub kitchens, grill sections and wood-fired cooking. Expect quality produce, room to sharpen your technique and a team that values consistency, teamwork and long-term growth. It is a more transparent path: a verified employer and real career development, rather than just answering an advertised sponsorship vacancy.

  • Run your assigned section efficiently through prep and service
  • Complete ingredient prep and the daily mise en place
  • Move between restaurant, pub, grill and wood-fired sections when needed
  • Check that each dish going out from the pass meets quality expectations, and help keep standards up across all kitchen operations

  • Stay productive through busy, high-volume services
  • Back up your kitchen teammates so service runs smoothly, and communicate well with chefs and other kitchen staff
  • Take part in ongoing training and professional development
  • Help build a workplace culture that is respectful, reliable and team-focused
