The venue sits on Jonson Street in a busy coastal area. You will join a motivated kitchen team that cares about practical skill, consistency and professional standards. Great kitchens need chefs they can trust to deliver, and this team is no different.
Your past work matters a lot. You will need to show a genuine, verifiable background in commercial kitchens. Please note: the requirements list full working rights in Australia, so check that you hold them before you apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the section you are given from the start of service to the end, and manage its prep and workflow
- Get ingredients ready and finish your mise en place quickly and well
- Cook and plate each dish to the required standard, keeping quality and presentation the same even in the busiest service periods
- Work as part of the team with senior chefs and other kitchen staff
- Keep the kitchen very clean and follow food safety standards
- Help the kitchen run smoothly each day and add positive energy to team performance and service delivery
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience in a commercial kitchen at a professional level
- Experience as a Chef de Partie before, or equivalent responsibility at section level
- Confident running your own section
- Experience in high-volume, fast-paced service
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities, plus a motivated, professional and dependable work ethic
- Your previous employment and experience must be genuine and verifiable
- Full working rights in Australia
