Key Responsibilities
- Lay direct stick engineered timber flooring to a high standard, and finish every floor safely and efficiently
- Handle general carpentry on both residential and commercial jobs
- Read plans, specifications and project requirements before you start
- Measure timber and other building materials, then cut and fit them accurately
- Take care with every detail so workmanship stays at a high standard
- Use carpentry tools and equipment correctly and keep them in good order
- Work well alone and with the project team, and help with project planning and task coordination where required
- Keep the site clean and safe, and follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
- Finish projects within the scheduled timeframes
- Give professional service and keep quality standards on every project
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 3 years of carpentry experience preferred
- Experience laying direct stick engineered timber flooring is highly regarded
- Trade qualification in Carpentry or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Can work on your own or in a team environment
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow new skills
- Excellent time management and organisation, and reliable, punctual and committed to high-quality work
- Current driver's licence
- Able to work across residential and commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices
