Calling experienced Carpenters with real residential building experience. Premium home projects across New South Wales need tradespeople for new builds, renovations, structural carpentry and high-end finishing work.
The employer wants people who can show a steady record of quality workmanship. You should be proud of what you build. You should also be able to support your skills with a clear employment history, relevant qualifications and practical experience.
Tip: if your trade certificates and work references are in Indonesian, get them translated into English as the visa rules require.
Key Responsibilities
- Do residential carpentry to a high professional standard, on both new builds and renovations
- Handle framing, structural timber and installation work
- Take on detailed finishing and fit-out jobs
- Read construction plans and measurements, then measure, cut and fit materials accurately
- Own the tasks and site activities you are given
- Work at a good pace without letting quality or accuracy drop
- Liaise with supervisors, builders and other trades, and sort out routine carpentry problems on site
- Look after tools and equipment so they stay in good working order
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and keep your work area clean, tidy and safe
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated professional work as a Carpenter, with genuine residential carpentry experience that can be verified
- A relevant trade qualification, or practical experience that is equivalent
- A clear employment history showing your trade experience, plus supporting evidence of employment or qualifications that you can provide
- Current White Card
- Valid driver's licence, plus your own reliable transport
- Your own standard carpentry tools
- Strong hands-on knowledge of residential construction
- Can read plans and follow technical instructions
- Steady attention to detail and quality
- Works independently with minimal supervision
- Turns up reliably and has professional work habits
- Communicates well and works well in a team
- Sponsorship is offered to eligible candidates
