Are you a skilled carpenter with real site experience? An established construction business has ongoing full-time projects across New South Wales. It wants tradespeople who can prove their hands-on skills and do commercial carpentry work with confidence.
The work includes interior fit-outs, doors, flooring, decking and general commercial carpentry. If your trade background is strong and can be checked, you can get steady work, above-award rates and excellent working conditions.
A job title is not enough here, so bring clear proof of the work you have done. If you apply from Indonesia, have your Indonesian-language documents translated into English where the visa rules require it.
Key Responsibilities
- Do commercial carpentry on ongoing construction projects, along with general carpentry and finishing work
- Fit out interiors, including installing skirting and architraves
- Hang commercial doors and install their fittings
- Lay flooring and decking to match what each project needs
- Measure, cut, assemble and install timber and similar materials accurately, following plans, measurements and job specifications
- Use your carpentry tools and equipment in a safe, effective way
- Produce steady, careful work with good attention to detail
- Keep the site safe, follow workplace rules and work well with other trades and site staff
- Travel to different project sites across New South Wales when needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- A current White Card
- At least 3 years of practical experience working as a carpenter
- Proven work in commercial carpentry or relevant construction
- Trade or employment experience that is genuine and can be verified, and you can show your carpentry skills in practice
- Your own tools for general carpentry work
- Your own reliable transport, and you are willing to travel between sites
- Knowing Australian construction practices and industry standards is desirable
- You must have Australian work rights or meet the sponsorship requirements
- Sponsorship is available for suitable overseas candidates who have verified experience and the required skills
- Working Holiday Visa holders are welcome to apply, and so are Pty Ltd companies and ABN holders with appropriate insurance
- You are available to work full-time
