Each day you help older people with their normal activities. Their dignity, independence, safety, comfort and quality of life always come first.

When a police check is requested, applicants in Indonesia usually get an SKCK police clearance from the Indonesian National Police.
Key Responsibilities
- Give residents kind, respectful care that is centred on each person
- Help with showering, personal hygiene, dressing, grooming and toileting
- Support residents with moving around, transfers and mobility equipment in the right way
- Help at mealtimes with eating, drinking and any feeding needs
- Keep residents company, offer emotional support and help them with daily routines and meaningful activities
- Encourage each resident to stay independent and take part in the day
- Work by each resident's care plan and the workplace procedures, including infection control, manual handling and safety rules
- Notice and report any change in a resident's physical, emotional or behavioural wellbeing
- Write accurate care notes and keep records and documents up to date
- Talk clearly with nurses, carers, allied health professionals and families
- Respect residents' privacy, dignity, culture and personal choices, and help keep the care setting safe, supportive and respectful
Requirements & Eligibility
- A relevant qualification in aged care, healthcare, nursing assistance or personal care
- Experience in aged care, residential care or disability support is preferred
- A practical understanding of person-centred care principles
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a good level of English for talking with residents and colleagues at work
- A caring, dependable and professional attitude
- Able to build respectful relationships with residents and care teams
- Able to follow care plans, procedures and workplace standards
- Willing to complete the required police checks, screening and health assessments
- Flexible about working different shifts, including weekends when required
- Offshore applicants may be considered for employer sponsorship, subject to eligibility; onshore applicants who hold suitable Australian work rights are welcome to apply
