Experienced Boilermakers and Pipefitters are wanted in Bunbury, in the South West of Western Australia. The employer is a leading engineering and maintenance contractor in that state.
Your time will be split between the workshop and project sites. Jobs cover SMP work (structural, mechanical and piping), including fabrication, maintenance and shutdowns for the resource and energy industries.

Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and install structural steel
- Build, assemble and fit industrial piping systems
- Weld to approved procedures and industry standards
- Repair and service pressure vessels, tanks and structural parts
- Read engineering drawings and fabrication plans, and check finished parts meet quality standards
- Do fabrication in the workshop and installation on site, including shutdown and maintenance projects
- Use fabrication gear and power tools safely, and work at heights or in confined spaces when required
- Stick to workplace health and safety procedures at all times and keep your work area tidy and organised
- Work as a team with supervisors and project crews
- Fill in project paperwork and reports as required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Australian trade qualification in Boilermaking or Pipefitting, or a recognised overseas equivalent
- Proven experience in structural, mechanical and piping fabrication
- Past work on industrial or mining projects
- Able to pass 3G or 4G MMAW and FCAW welding tests
- Current Working at Heights certification and current Confined Space certification
- High Risk Work Licence with an EWP endorsement
- Construction White Card
- Solid understanding of safe practices under workplace health and safety rules
- Able to read and make sense of technical drawings
- Excellent communication and teamwork
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical, which includes drug and alcohol screening
