Key Responsibilities
- Bone and trim beef carcases using the right techniques
- Cut primals to the required specifications
- Keep product yield, presentation and quality at the expected standard
- Handle knives and processing equipment safely
- Finish production tasks quickly and accurately while keeping a steady workflow
- Check products and speak up about any quality or contamination concerns
- Keep strict personal and workplace hygiene
- Follow halal processing rules, food safety procedures and WHS procedures
- Work well as part of a production team
- Take part in workplace training and development when required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience in beef processing, boning, slicing or halal slaughter, and the ability to give evidence of this industry experience
- Commercial knife-handling skills you can demonstrate
- Hands-on knowledge of beef cuts and processing techniques
- A strong focus on accuracy, quality and safe work
- Able to stay productive in physically demanding work
- Good reliability, discipline at work and teamwork
- Able to follow detailed hygiene and processing procedures
- Current Australian working rights, or eligibility for sponsorship
- Overseas applicants must meet the applicable Subclass 482 requirements, including a relevant skills assessment where required for the nominated occupation
