They want people with real hands-on barbering skills, good client service and a steady professional standard. Your experience is judged on what you can actually do, how reliable you are and how well you suit the role.
Work can be full-time, part-time or casual, depending on your experience and what the business needs. Working Holiday Visa holders are welcome to apply too. Keep a few photos of your fades and beard work ready to show.
Key Responsibilities
- Talk with each client about what they like and suggest styles that suit them
- Cut hair, fades and modern barbering styles with precise, consistent technique
- Trim, shape and groom beards
- Make every client feel welcome and build loyal, positive relationships
- Keep precision, presentation and workmanship at a high level
- Keep your station and tools clean and hygienic, and follow health, safety and hygiene procedures
- Handle bookings well and finish services on time
- Stay up to date with new barbering styles, techniques and trends
- Work well with your teammates and help keep the shop positive and professional
- Show up reliably and bring a strong work ethic
Requirements & Eligibility
- You have worked professionally as a Barber, and this experience is proven
- You have strong practical skills in cutting and fading, plus demonstrated beard grooming and styling experience
- You can produce high-quality barbering results consistently
- You have strong customer service and communication skills
- You present yourself professionally, have a professional attitude and pay excellent attention to detail
- You are reliable, motivated and committed to quality
- You can work confidently on your own and as part of a team
- You have a relevant barbering qualification or demonstrable industry experience, and can verify your qualifications, experience and trade capability
- You have Australian work rights or are eligible for an appropriate work visa; Working Holiday Visa holders are welcome to apply
- Sponsorship is available for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate
- You are willing to relocate to Queensland where required
