Bar Manager

Have you run a busy bar before? This senior hospitality job in North Sydney is for a bar professional who wants to make a real difference. A good bar needs more than great service. It also needs leadership, good organisation, care with costs and steady standards every day.
You will own the bar function, guide the team and help build a quality beverage program. Your past experience, your record as a leader and how well you manage daily bar work will decide if you are the right fit.

Key Responsibilities
- Keep responsible alcohol service standards and make sure the bar follows liquor licence requirements
- Run the bar every day and take ownership of how it works
- Lead and coach the bar team and prepare their rosters
- Keep cocktails, wine and spirits at a high quality
- Organise beverage buying and stock, and keep ordering and inventory systems efficient
- Check beverage usage and how costs are tracking
- Write and update operating procedures and checklists
- Make bar workflows and service processes better
- Help develop the beverage menu and improve it over time
- Work well with the rest of the venue team
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current NSW RSA competency card
- At least three years of relevant experience in senior bartending or bar management, with demonstrated responsibility for bar operations
- Strong hands-on knowledge of cocktails, wine and spirits
- Past experience looking after beverage stock and ordering
- You understand beverage costing and inventory control
- Proven experience leading and training a team
- Strong communication and organisation skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy in operations
- Available to work evening and weekend shifts
- Valid Australian work rights or eligibility for employer sponsorship
- Able to show evidence of your relevant employment experience and professional background
- Must satisfy the applicable requirements for employer-sponsored employment in Australia
