A long-running automotive business in Moorooka, Brisbane QLD wants a trade-qualified Automotive Technician with proven hands-on experience. They want someone with real trade papers, strong technical skills and a steady work record.

Key Responsibilities
- Look after scheduled services and regular vehicle maintenance
- Check vehicles step by step and track down mechanical faults, using diagnostic scanners and modern workshop gear
- Fix mechanical problems on many different makes and models, working quickly but always to a high standard
- Write clear, correct records of every service, diagnosis and repair
- Explain to customers what is wrong with their vehicle and what work has been done
- Keep the workshop clean, safe and well organised
- Follow workshop procedures and safety rules
- Work as a team with the other technicians and workshop staff
Requirements & Eligibility
- A relevant trade qualification, for example Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
- At least 3 years of automotive work after finishing your apprenticeship (post-apprenticeship)
- Proven hands-on work on multiple vehicle makes and models
- Very good at mechanical troubleshooting and diagnosis, and confident using automotive scan tools and diagnostic equipment
- Can show genuine qualifications and employment experience
- Pays close attention to detail and cares about quality repairs
- Takes workplace duties seriously and acts in a reliable, professional way
- Can work alone and also be a positive part of the team
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence, or eligible to get one
- Can satisfy the applicable sponsorship and employment requirements
