Aircraft Maintenance Engineers

Do you keep aircraft safe and flying? A growing aviation maintenance business in Queensland looks after many different aircraft and airline customers in Australia and the Pacific. It needs experienced engineers.
The company wants experienced LAMEs with B1.1/B2 licences and qualified AMEs with strong hands-on maintenance experience. You will use your technical skills in a professional Australian aviation workplace, work on a wider range of aircraft and build your career with ongoing training and approvals.
Tip: keep your licences, logbooks and an English-language CV ready, and get English translations of any Indonesian-language documents where they are needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Take part in aircraft type training and extra approval programs
- Do line and heavy maintenance on aircraft, and support turnarounds and line maintenance work
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance inspections, plus servicing and component replacement
- Find and fix aircraft defects, and troubleshoot systems and components
- Work on regional turboprop and jet aircraft
- Fill in technical records and maintenance paperwork correctly
- Make sure all maintenance follows approved procedures, CASA requirements and the relevant aviation standards
- Spot technical problems and report them
- Work together with other engineers and maintenance staff
Requirements & Eligibility
- For LAME – B1.1 / B2 applicants: a current CASA B1.1 or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence
- LAME applicants: Q400 experience is essential
- LAME applicants: Dash 8 Classic 100/200/300 experience is highly regarded, and B737 NG or MAX experience is advantageous
- LAME applicants: experience on narrow-body or wide-body aircraft is beneficial
- LAME applicants: a strong, practical background in aircraft maintenance and sound knowledge of aviation safety and maintenance procedures
- For AME applicants: minimum 5 years' experience in the aviation industry
- AME applicants: relevant aircraft maintenance qualifications
- AME applicants: practical line maintenance experience preferred
- AME applicants: heavy maintenance experience considered
- AME applicants: turboprop experience advantageous
- AME applicants: strong skills in troubleshooting and rectifying defects
- AME applicants: able to work safely and efficiently in a demanding maintenance environment
