Are you a First-Class Welder/Fabricator with solid workshop experience? A well-established engineering and manufacturing company in New South Wales, Australia, wants more skilled hands.
This is a full-time job with an immediate start. You get guaranteed overtime, competitive pay and a modern workshop. The projects are varied, with lots of heavy engineering and fabrication work.
The company expects high-quality welding and fabrication. You will work on your own and with a professional team. Prepare an English-language CV that lists the welding processes you use and the kinds of projects you have built.
Key Responsibilities
- Study engineering drawings, blueprints and technical specs before you start
- Weld and fabricate to the engineering specifications, using MIG, TIG and Stick welding on many kinds of projects
- Build, assemble and repair steel parts to the required quality
- Run workshop machines and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Check your finished work to make sure it is accurate and matches the specs
- Keep your work area safe, clean and organised, and follow health and safety procedures every time
- Work independently and still meet production deadlines
- Work with your supervisors and teammates to reach project goals
- Help the team deliver high-quality fabrication and welding on each job
Requirements & Eligibility
- Trade qualification as a Welder, Boilermaker, Fabricator, or an equivalent trade
- Proven experience welding and fabricating in a workshop
- Skilled in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documents
- Strong attention to detail
- Committed to high-quality workmanship
- Able to work on your own with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills, plus a positive and reliable work ethic
